Inês writes about markets, migration and the economics of what we eat. She has edited Octavo’s reportage section since the first issue and still buys her fish from the same stall in Campo de Ourique.

Tomás photographs kitchens before service and fields before harvest. He shoots on medium-format film and prints every cover himself.

Hana is a former line cook who now writes long essays about preservation, salt and the Nordic pantry. Her first book, Brine, is out next spring.

Kwame runs a twelve-seat supper club in Peckham and writes Octavo’s At the Table recipes. He cooks West African food through a Portuguese pantry.

Mei draws every map, diagram and spot illustration in Octavo with a single dip pen. Her prints are stocked at the shop.

Luca writes about bread, saints’ days and the small rules that keep southern Italian kitchens running. He teaches Latin when he isn’t on deadline.

Aurélie photographs the Mediterranean coast for Octavo, mostly at dawn, mostly from boats. Her pictures of the salt pans of Camargue opened issue № 08.

Priya interviews cooks, farmers and grandmothers for the magazine’s Interviews section and records an audio version of each conversation.
